Ottobock supports the non-profit organization "Motivation"

Helping people regain their mobility – this mission shares Ottobock and the non-profit organisation “Motivation”. For eight years now, the health-tech company has been supporting the organisation from Bristol in the UK. This year, Ottobock is continuing its commitment with a donation of 60.000 EUR.
With the support, Motivation helps people with disabilities to gain mobility in low and underdeveloped countries. “That's not an easy task. Because in these countries, a physical disability often leads to discrimination or social exclusion,” says Christoph Friebel, product manager at Ottobock Mobility Solutions GmbH, about the partnership.
“2021 has been a challenging year for everyone. Covid-19 disrupted many of our usual activities. Therefor, we quickly redirected to identify the needs of our community and provide targeted support. This would not have been possible without Ottobock,” says Samantha Braithwaite, Interim Head of Fundraising at Motivation.
Ottobock is aware of its social responsibility and cooperates with Motivation to offer wheelchair availability in emerging and developing countries. In this way, the organization developed, manufactures and sells its own line of special everyday wheelchairs - with specifications and at prices that are appropriate for the target markets.
Ottobock also leads a fruitful and motivated partnership in the field of sports wheelchairs: the health-tech company successfully sells the "Multisport" model in all of its globally established markets. A sports wheelchair that's suitable for most sports, especially basketball and tennis.
Christoph Friebel explains: "The product is easy to understand, ready to use, versatile and enables everyone to experience sport in a wheelchair. No matter whether for inclusion purposes, in groups or for your own sporting activities".
