Equality and equal rights for women are key components of our corporate philosophy at Ottobock. We’re convinced that increasing the number of female managers and women in management positions will move our company and society forwards. Georgia Näder, Vice President of Futuring Mediterranee & Business Transition and member of the owner family, and Maria Keller, Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, launched the internal network EmpowHERment to support women in the company.

Regular digital sessions offer space to network with each other, to be inspired and to learn from each other. In addition to the existing know-how within the company, the network also benefits from the expertise of external guests. Training our young employees is a top priority for us. That’s why we offer qualified, personal support for our trainees and students and take early steps to get you integrated into our day-to-day business. In many cases, you can continue our training courses to become a Bachelor professional or combine them with a university degree course. Ottobock was awarded with the TOPAS label by the IHK and Südniedersachsen-Stiftung in November 2022. TOPAS stands for TOP Employers in South Lower Saxony and helps the companies awarded with it to position themselves in the competition for the best skilled workers.
In order to be able to bear the coveted TOPAS label, a company must work out targets that are supported by specific measures and established in the long term. These are discussed and evaluated in the companies in on-site audits. Strategically, employer branding focuses on employee retention and integration as well as recruitment.
