Since 2016, we have published an annual sustainability report based on the principles of the UN Global Compact. The 2021 and 2022 reports were prepared in accordance with the "Core" option of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. Since 2023, we have published a non-financial statement based on the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) with facts and figures on our sustainability performance. We also produce a Highlight Report with stories and information on our sustainability activities. At the same time, our guidelines form the framework for our sustainable actions within and outside the Ottobock world.

Responsibility for sustainability in the supply chain

The German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LKSG) obliges companies to fulfil human rights and environmental due diligence obligations along their entire supply chain. The aim of the law is to strengthen respect for human rights in global supply chains and prevent environmental damage. Ottobock utilises a broad portfolio of purchased parts. In total, we have close business relationships with around 15,000 suppliers worldwide. Our goal is to anchor high sustainability standards in our supply chain and exclude risks such as human rights violations. Our technical experts carry out regular risk assessments and our human rights officer ensures that the company fulfils its due diligence obligations.
