Yesterday evening, 23 May 2024, Ottobock was presented with the 2024 Best Managed Companies Award and its seal of approval as an excellently managed company. The award ceremony took place in the beautiful setting of the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main. The award was presented by Deloitte Private, UBS, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries.

“The award as Best Managed Company is not only a recognition of our past achievements, but also an incentive for the future. It shows we are on the right track and encourages us to continue driving innovation and excellence,” said Oliver Jakobi, CEO of Ottobock. “This success is based on the commitment of each and every employee. I would therefore like to thank our teams and their hard work for our mission.”

Award for outstanding leadership

The Best Managed Companies Program is a competition and seal of approval for successful medium-sized companies. The vision: to establish a national and global ecosystem of excellently managed medium-sized companies. A key unique selling point of Best Managed Companies is its internationality. The program was launched by Deloitte in Canada in the 1990s and has since been successfully introduced in more than 45 countries.

“Ottobock and the other companies that have won this award represent a strong foundation of our economy. They are “doers’, innovation leaders and focus on sustainable corporate management. These companies look far into the future and don't just think from quarter to quarter. This is precisely why they have earned their award as Best Managed Company,” explains Markus Seiz, Director at Deloitte Private and Head of the Best Managed Companies Program.

Digital Award 2024 for #IAmAMountain

In addition to the Best Managed Companies Award, Ottobock recently won two other awards: the German Digital Award 2024 and the 2024 Austrian National Design Prize.

The Ottobock campaign #IAmAMountain won the German Digital Award on 16 May 2024 in the “Digital for Good” category. For ten years, the renowned prize has been honouring digital creative excellence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The jury's reasoning: The campaign is authentic and highly emotional, it brings an important issue to the fore – the visibility of people with disabilities.

“I’m proud and grateful for the recognition of our first global brand campaign – and the incredible team effort behind it. From the first creative idea to the innovative digital realization to the “Big Bang” on the stage of the ESC with Sam Ryder. Together, we have created a milestone for representing people with disabilities,” says Martin Böhm, Chief Experience Officer at Ottobock.
