Orthopedic Technician (d/f/m)

• During your apprenticeship, you will learn to manufacture individual orthopedic technical aids for people.

• This includes high-tech prostheses and orthoses, epitheses and rehabilitation technology devices.

• During your work, you will be in regular and direct contact with patients. As an orthopedic technician, you advise them on you will advise them on the choice of the appropriate products, take measurements of the affected body parts, design initial models and perform fittings.

• Secondary school leaving certificate

• Manual dexterity

• Internship in a medical supply store or an orthopedic technical workshop

• Interest in anatomy, physiology, mechanics and materials science

• Good knowledge of German and English (B2 level)

• Interest in dealing with patients

• Sense of responsibility, communication skills and empathy and interest in other cultures

• Further training to become a master craftsman (d/w/m)

• Business economist (d/w/m)

• Bachelor of Science in the field of Orthobionic (d/w/m)

• Master of Science in Sport-/ Rehab Engineering (d/w/m).

to work in one of our Ottobock foreign subsidiaries.
