From 25 to 28 September 2024, Ottobock will present its product innovations and solutions for people with disabilities at Rehacare in Düsseldorf (hall 6, stand C30). The focus is on the integrated NeuroMobility treatment concept – an interdisciplinary approach for people with neurological indications.

“With NeuroMobility, we take a holistic view of people and their needs. It is important to adapt devices to the individual living conditions early on. We ensure this in cooperation with our customers, the orthopaedic technology providers,” explainsPhilipp Hoefer, Director DACH at Ottobock HealthCare Deutschland GmbH. “Rehacare 2024 is the perfect platform to advance this type of integrated treatment with those affected, healthcare service providers, health insurance providers and politicians.”

The health tech company will exhibit the associated products at the trade show: from manual and power wheelchairs to devices with functional electrical stimulation, the C-Brace microprocessor-controlled orthotic system to the Exopulse Suit for neuromodulation for people suffering from spasticity or chronic pain.

New generation of the Exopulse Suit

Ottobock will premiere the next generation of the Exopulse Suit at Rehacare 2024. The new suit features an enhanced design and electrode concept, which will allow even more effective targeting of specific muscle groups in the future. It also comes with an innovative small and smart control unit for easier handling.

Ottobock will also present the latest study results on the effectiveness of the Exopulse Suit on fibromyalgia in Düsseldorf. In 78 percent of the participants, these showed significant improvements in the symptoms of pain, fatigue, vitality and depression. Due to the proven evidence for the indication, even more people suffering from permanent pain can now benefit from the Exopulse Suit.

Hands-free on the go with Genny Zero

At Rehacare 2024, Ottobock will also introduce its Genny Zero active e-mobility device. The innovative product solution is self-balancing on two wheels and uses proprietary, advanced stabilisation technology. It enables intuitive control by shifting the upper body, allowing users to move around hands-free. In contrast to conventional manual wheelchairs, this helps relieve strain on the shoulder joints and arms. At 65 kg, the e-mobility device is particularly lightweight and agile. Genny Zero also provides reliable stability in an upright position – whether on the sidewalk or cobblestones, over curbs and slopes.

Interacting as equalsthanks to Juvo B7

The Juvo B7 power wheelchair supports people with significant mobility restrictions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) – at home, on the go, while sitting, semi-standing or lying down. With its highly adaptable seating system, positioning options for transfers or comfortable resting, for example, can be personalised and selected according to the user's needs and activity level. The half-stand feature also allows users to converse at eye level where they would otherwise have to look up. In addition, the newly developed control system offers a smooth driving experience.

Genium X4 sets new standards in prosthetics

In Düsseldorf, Ottobock will showcase the latest technical innovation in microprocessor-controlled knee joints. The Genium X4 offers impressive new functions such as optimised ascent, a start-to-walk function, improved stance phase support and dynamic backward movement. This gives prosthesis wearers an even smoother, more fluid gait, regardless of whether they’re navigating confined spaces or crowds, riding escalators, stepping backwards to pull open a heavy door or wading through water. And thanks to the intuitive cycling feature, the Genium X4 automatically detects the start and end of pedal movements and adjusts resistance in real time.

Experience solutions up close

As part of the exhibition, Ottobock will present its product innovations in an interactive show programme (hall 6, stand C30). Demo users will share personal experiences, and product experts will offer insights into the various solutions and treatment options. The show programme will be accompanied by RTL sports presenter Anna Kraft. Visitors to Rehacare 2024 can look forward to a meet & greet on 25 September, where they can talk to the bestselling author about her new book: “Kraftakt: Mein Leben mit Multipler Sklerose”, which deals with her life with multiple sclerosis.

Visitors are also invited to visit the Ottobock wheelchair workshop (hall 6, stand F33). Similar to a pit stop, wheelchair users can come by and have minor repairs made to their device, such as inflating tyres.
