Enhanced quality of life thanks to smart fitting solutions
Ottobock will be presenting new products at the I.S.P.O. World Congress 2025

Monday, 2 June 2025
From 16 to 19 June 2025, Stockholm will transform into a global hub for the prosthetics and orthotics industry: More than 4,000 experts from research, treatment and industry will come together at the 20th World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (I.S.P.O.) to discuss trendsetting developments. With a 153 m² stand and a varied product range, Ottobock will feature prominently as the global market leader in prosthetics, neuro-orthotics and digital prosthetic and orthotic solutions. The medical technology company will be presenting new products and innovations within these fields, engaging in the international dialogue between scientists and practitioners. Experts from Ottobock will share their insights during symposiums and poster sessions, as well as in dedicated workshops and within the new ‘Technical Track’ format.
This year’s slogan of the I.S.P.O., ‘Science in Practice, Practice in Science: Collaboration and Innovation Towards Sustainable Rehabilitation’, encapsulates Ottobock's core focus: the strong link between research, technology and humanity. “Our vision is not only to offer treatment that performs superbly, but also to give people a new quality of life through digital innovations, bionic medical technology and an in-depth understanding of individual needs. Sustainable rehabilitation is only possible if we make scientific research accessible and set new standards together with experts around the world,” says Oliver Jakobi, CEO of Ottobock SE & Co. KGaA.
Taking a holistic approach to prosthetic fitting
This approach is also evident across current product developments: At the I.S.P.O. Congress, Ottobock will be presenting the speedhand solution for the first time. The key component of the prosthesis solution is the speedhand itself, which now makes movements even more natural. With the new wrist flex, the prosthesis can be flexed, making it easier to use for everyday tasks. The myosmart control allows users to operate their speedhand with precision and ease. For that, it detects fine remaining muscle activity via electrodes in the prosthetic socket. With the synchronized connectgrip app, you can adjust settings such as reaction speed anytime and anywhere directly from your smartphone.
In Stockholm, Ottobock will also be showcasing a strong combination within its range of prostheses for children. The Maverick junior prosthetic foot is robust, waterproof and lightweight and therefore particularly suitable for children. Thanks to the energy-return properties of the fibreglass spring, children don't tire as quickly during extended play compared to other prostheses. In addition, movido, the world’s smallest hydraulic knee joint, helps children learn to walk correctly with a prosthesis right from the start thanks to its hydraulic swing phase control.
Innovations for people with neurological indications
At its stand, Ottobock will also be presenting its comprehensive NeuroMobility portfolio for the treatment of people with neurological disorders, such as MS, paraplegia or stroke. The range includes classic orthoses, models with functional electrical stimulation, wheelchairs for active use and power wheelchairs as well as the new generation of the exopulse suit neuromodulation suit. With 50 embedded electrodes, the suit can relieve spastic-related tension and related pain as well as fibromyalgia symptoms such as fatigue and pain in a quick and sustained manner via gentle, targeted electrical stimulation. Another highlight is the microprocessor-controlled C-Brace, which regulatesboth the stance and swing phase. As a result, the orthosis makes it possible for people with partial or total paralysis of the knee extensors to walk again.
Digital, sustainable solutions for the O&P workshop
Given the shortage of skilled workers and the increasing time pressures faced by orthopaedic technology businesses, efficient work processes are becoming increasingly important. As part of the I.S.P.O., Ottobock’s O&P Business Solutions division will be presenting practical solutions that help O&P professionals work faster, with greater flexibility and precision. Highlights include state-of-the-art workshop equipment such as the new Pro-Fit 7000 socket router as well as sustainable materials from the environmentally friendly GreenLine series. Visitors can experience the benefits of these innovations first-hand during live demonstrations at the stand.
The Connected Healthcare Solutions area focuses on the digital treatment process – from scanning and modelling to manufacturing, for example using 3D printing. One innovation is the TransferScan, which enables interior measurements to be taken of test and interim sockets with millimetre accuracy and transfers the data precisely to the definitive socket. Ottobock is also setting new standards when it comes to one of the most time-consuming aspects of everyday working life: documentation. Smart documentation uses templates to simplify recording and AI-supported gait pattern analyses to visualise the treatment quality. A large language model also helps to efficiently formulate device reimbursement applications. Ottobock thereby provides digital freedom, which in turn leads to less bureaucracy, improved quality and more time spent with people.
