The global health-tech company Ottobock has agreed with the owners of Orthopädie Brillinger GmbH & Co. KG on a 100% takeover. Brillinger is a leading patient care company in Baden-Württemberg, a south-western German state. The takeover allows Ottobock to considerably expand its care network in southern Germany and to persistently continue its growth strategy.
Brillinger, with its head office in Tübingen, operates ten care centres and medical supply stores in six cities across the state, including Stuttgart and Reutlingen. The venerable family-owned company offers users and patients complete care in the areas of orthopaedic and rehabilitation technology, orthopaedic shoe technology, medical supply and home care. In 2022, Brillinger achieved a turnover of nearly EUR 30 million and had around 275 employees.
“A high-quality care network and contact persons on location are critical for the success of rehabilitation measures. Therefore, we are happy to have the support of our Brillinger colleagues to get closer to our users in Baden-Württemberg and to improve the care standards for them even further,” said Ottobock CEO Oliver Jakobi.
Ottobock operates the world’s largest global network of care centres and offers its patients customised technical orthopaedic treatment and rehabilitation solutions in 135 countries. With more than 390 care centres around the world, applying the latest technology and in close co-operation with doctors and specialised clinics, the company supports its users in improving the quality of their lives.
