As a cutting machine operator, you will manufacture metal precision components for technical products of all kinds. The main focus of your apprenticeship is the accurate and dimensionally precise production of various parts on machine tools.

As a Textile and Fashion Sewer (d/f/m), you will learn how to produce all kinds of textiles for our rehabilitation products. You will mainly work in the sewing production area, but cutting and fabric inspection are also part of your job.

As an IT Specialist (d/f/m), you will design innovative IT solutions based on modern software technologies. You have the choice between two specializations: Application development and data and process analysis.

How to apply to Ottobock

Prepare application documents

Let’s start with the best news. You don’t have to write a cover letter, but you are welcome to do so if you wish. Try to give us the truest possible picture of yourself with your CV and your certificates. Ideally, you’ll already have digital copies of your CV and your certificates available so you can easily upload them in your online application.

Online application in the job portal

To ensure we can process your application quickly and efficiently, we accept online applications only through our job portal. It’s not hard at all. You already have all the documents ready. Check out the link below for all our openings for training positions and dual study programmes:

Selection process

If your online application meets our expectations, the next step is an online aptitude test. Depending on the job, the test will include questions on your general knowledge or maths skills, for example.
If your test result meets the requirements, we will invite you to a video meeting with the trainer. If that goes well, the next step is selection day. This is where your personality really counts. There are also practical exercises and a look at your chosen field. The day ends with a personal interview.

The decision

We do our best to move through the application procedure as quickly as possible, of course.
We get in touch with you shortly after the selection day to let you know whether you will be offered a training position.
